My radiator is making noise

It is common for radiators to make unusual sounds. In most cases, this does not indicate a serious fault.

1. Electric radiators

If you hear clicking or cracking, it is usually the expansion of materials as the radiator heats up or cools down.

  • These noises normally disappear quickly.
  • For example: switching back on after summer or turning off during the day.

2. Water radiators

If the noise continues after about thirty minutes:

  • Check that there is no leak on the radiator.
  • If a leak is found, turn off the radiator and contact our team.
  • If no leak is visible, let the radiator fill and stabilise.

A continuous "hissing" noise may indicate pressure that is too high in the boiler.

  • In that case, check the boiler display and reduce the heating temperature if possible.
  • If that does not fix the problem, contact our technical team.

3. If the problem persists

Please send us the following so we can respond quickly:

  • A photo of the radiator or boiler
  • A photo of the error code, if displayed
  • A short video of the noise or problem

These details are essential to identify the cause and schedule a visit if necessary.
