My dishwasher is not working properly.

The appliances provided in our apartments are of similar quality across all Citydays accommodations. The instructions below therefore apply to most models available. In case of technical fault (connection issue, leak, breakdown, etc.), our technical team is available to assist you. Any problem due to misuse, lack of maintenance or abnormal use will be at your expense.

Check the connections

1. Water supply and drain
  • Water supply: The flexible hose must be properly screwed to the wall tap and connected to the dishwasher.
  • Drain: The grey hose must be connected to the dishwasher and properly inserted into the PVC pipe in the wall.
2. Electrical connection
  • Check that the dishwasher is plugged into a power socket.
  • If the appliance does not turn on, test the socket by plugging in another appliance.
  • In case of power cut, reset the circuit breaker. If the problem persists (breaker trips repeatedly), contact us.

Common problems and solutions

1. Water leak
  • Turn off the wall water supply tap immediately.
  • Move electrical appliances away from the affected area.
  • Check that the hoses are properly connected and tightened.
2. The basket or drainer is stuck
  • Make sure no item (cup handle, utensil handle, etc.) is preventing the basket from sliding.
  • Check that the drainer is correctly placed on its rails.
3. Dishes come out dirty
  • Check the placement of the dishes: they should not touch each other so water can circulate properly.
  • Select a more intensive programme if needed.
  • Make sure you use enough detergent and that it is suitable.
  • Check that the spray arms turn freely (no dish should block them).
  • Clean and replace the filters correctly.
  • If the water is hard, add regenerating salt and use a suitable rinse aid.
4. Dishes do not dry properly
  • Check that the dishes are well spaced and correctly placed.
  • Check the rinse aid reservoir and fill it if necessary.
  • Choose a longer wash programme if you usually use a quick cycle.
5. Buttons are flashing red

This usually indicates a lack of rinse aid or regenerating salt.

  • Step 1: Fill the rinse aid reservoir.
  • Step 2: Add regenerating salt to the compartment provided.
  • Step 3: Check that the filters are not dirty or blocked.
  • Step 4: Every 6 months, do a full clean: pour 1 L of white vinegar into the tub and run a high-temperature cycle.
